On June 8th, I got the dreaded "we've disabled your account" message. I went through the appeal process, and less then an hour later I was back in. Yesterday, June 14th, I was disabled again, and repeated the stupid appeal process (video selfie, sending in ID, which all felt very sus). 1.5 hr later, they banned everything. 10 years, 1700 posts, 61.1k followers, thousands of comments and community - all down the drain. I am an artist, and I used my instagram for networking, commissions and freelance. I also lost 20 years of FB photos and memories.

Even more annoying is that, after making new accounts (new art one is "incasyeouart"), I cannot log in to them on my phone, even after using codes and links and resetting passwords. I can ONLY log in to the new accounts on my laptop using Safari, not Chrome. AI has already been ruining my life, and now it's 10000x worse.

I don't even know if there's a point to rebuilding, bc what's stopping the Meta AI protocol from banning my new account? I had to make it on the same devices, so my IP is likely flagged, and using a VPN would just flag it even more, probably.

I wish I hadn't put so much of myself into my instagram, but I did. I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken. I'll still keep posting my art on Tumblr, Twitter and Bluesky, but it won't ever be the same.

Instagram banned my art account (and FB account) even after first successful appeal
