help!!!

i scored like 34 percentile in mht cet pcm first attempt and isse toh kuch nahi milega for suree. I’m raised by my mother and my father wasn’t in the picture we are trying to get me my mother’s caste certificate ( she’s ST ) my father also has a caste certificate but we prefer not to use his. My mom’s furious and doesnt wanna contact my father for admission in private colleges ( he’s an iitian and had a coaching centre so he does have a few connections) i want to persue civil engineering. All i want to know is does civil have scope and should i take a drop or go for a private college .
