Screenplay help pls?

Hi,

I'm writing a screenplay that takes place in Hartford in 1998. Could anyone tell me what the options were in regards to developing film for the public please?

1. Were there any ways to Drop Off & Collect your prints anonymously?
2. Were there any self service machines for digital media like with a memory/SD card?

Many Thanks!
