Any way to get raw Mpeg2 From DVD to work?

Question

Is there any way to get MPEG2 working without transcoding?

So basically I'm doing my home server primary for DVDs (maybe will buy a Blu-ray burner someday). I rip them using HandBrake (to H.264) because MakeMKV rips raw mpeg2, which for some reason compresses heavily when trying to play using Jellyfin on my PC or any other devices. (It force transcodes and ruins it into an awful bitrate and overall quality)

(Obviously it happens bc codecs is too old I think.) Why I'm asking this you ask. After I started to add TV shows, re-encoding each episode.... Probably would take longer than it needs to be. Rather than just to rip it and put it on the server, is there any way to get mpeg2 working or is it too old?

Thanks
