How do you plan and estimate a multi day passage?

We’d like to plan a cruise from Hanwell to Bristol for example. I suspect we’ll have to get on the Thames in Brentford and join the canal around reading to get on the arm leading to bath. Then perhaps get on the river Avon?

Being new to this we might be missing a well known website that gives a path and time estimates for all this!
