Can’t join friends party w/o invite?

I noticed it happening after season 4 started. before, like, season 3 & earlier I could join a friends party no problem, now it just puts me into a party with random people when I join friends. The same thing happens to friends when they try to join my party w/o an invite (I keep my party open), they just get put in with random people.

we noticed this happen to somebody else last night. A random person joined our party w/o an invite & left it immediately. They joined & left a couple more times before finally leaving. I figured they were trying to join one of their friends and having the same issue.

If one of us invites the other it works fine, but we can’t join w/o the invite. is anybody else experiencing this ?
