Help with buying a cycle computer

So the time has come, and I want to buy my first cycle computer. I've been searching around and found a new garmin edge 840 for 340 euros. The only thing is that it's not coming with the box. Is this an ok deal, and what should I check for if I decide to buy it? Thanks!
