Surprise trip for my 60yo mom: Armin van Buuren at UNVRS. Will it be too crowded ?
Hi everyone,
I am planning a surprise trip for my mother (60yo) who is a huge, long-time fan of Armin van Buuren. I saw that he is doing a special residency at UNVRS from September to early October to celebrate the 25 years of ASOT, playing special 5-hour extended sets.
Before booking the flights and tickets, I would love to get your honest advice, as I have never been to Ibiza myself:
- Crowd & Density : We are planning to go in late September or early October. Is the club as packed and claustrophobic during this period compared to the madness of July/August?
- The Vibe & Age: Since it's a Trance night (ASOT) and not a commercial EDM night, how is the crowd? Is it mature, respectful, and friendly enough for a 60-year-old?
- Is a club a bad idea? My mom is still energetic, but she isn't 20 anymore. I’ve only seen videos of Ibiza clubs looking like absolute warzones where you can't even move. Is it possible to actually enjoy the music, dance a bit, and feel the vibe without being completely crushed? Are there good spots/VIP areas in UNVRS where we can get a bit of breathing room while still seeing the show?
I really want this to be a magical memory for her, not a stressful nightmare. Please share your thoughts on whether taking my mom to UNVRS is a good idea or if I should look for another event.
Thanks a lot!
