Giant Sequoias worth it?

Hey guys - I’m doing free to play, fyi.

I’ve amassed 1700 gems so I can afford a lot of the gem offers that pop up now and I’m wondering the smartest way to spend those gems. I was just offered 23 giant sequoias for 1500 gems. Is this a good idea? Any advice for someone on level 47? Thanks!
