3 year old insecure about haircut

last night my husband was cutting our sons hair. Son was squirming too much and dad ended up having to take the cut higher and higher, and now his sides are buzzed and just has a little hair on top.

well as my sons getting his hair cut my daughter(5) turns to me and says "mama..i think when (son) goes to daycare..people are really not going to like that" 😭 and a little later she turns to me and goes "(son) looks so crazy right now.." and turns back. and you could see he was sad about those comments. She is 5, and doesn't have a filter so she didn't mean it to hurt him

Afterward he kept saying he doesn't want people at daycare to see his hair like that. he said it all night and this morning too, and he even asked for a jacket this morning to cover it 🥲 forgot to mention he kept picking his hair off his the floor last night and trying to put it on his head.

i know I'm overreacting and it'll grow back I just feel so sad for my little guy.
