Heaven Studio way harder?

I just got Heaven Studio and I'm finding it significantly harder than the official Rhythm Heaven games. The official minigames feel more strict than before and the fanmade minigames are even worse, giving little to no helpful feedback. I'm normally good at Rhythm Heaven, so why is Heaven Studio so much harder? Is there some kind of issue or solution?
