I became a KengNamping fan only recently, and honestly, I think I made the mistake of starting with a series that set the bar way too high.

For the past week, I've been completely immersed in KengNamping content—TikTok edits, YouTube interviews, rewatching Khemjira, rereading the novel, and basically consuming everything I can find. I didn't expect to get this invested, but here we are.

When I first watched the series, I was immediately drawn to Keng. Master Keng was such a cool character, and Keng himself seemed incredibly interesting. But as I started learning more about the pair, I realized that the one who truly stole my heart was Namping.

Maybe it's because I've always had a soft spot for a certain type of person. I'm also an ATEEZ fan, and strangely enough, Namping reminds me of what I love about that group. There's a quiet confidence there. A sense of knowing who you are and where you're going. Not forcing yourself into spaces that aren't meant for you, but creating your own path instead.

It's hard to explain, but Namping gives me that feeling of wanting to cheer for him, support him, and see him succeed. The more interviews I watch, the more I admire how thoughtful and articulate he is. His recent Pride event appearances only made me appreciate him even more.

I genuinely hope he gets more opportunities in the future—not just in acting. If singing isn't where he's most comfortable, I'd love to see him host a podcast, do interview content, or become a regular MC. He's one of those people who can make you want to listen whenever he speaks.

And yes, I've reached the point where I'm using my old K-pop accounts and email addresses to vote for him. No shame.

To be clear, I love KengNamping as a pair. This isn't about comparing them or choosing sides. I just wanted to share some appreciation for Namping because he's the one who unexpectedly resonated with me the most.

Maybe because I'm still new to the fandom, but sometimes I worry about how much pressure actors receive from fans and the industry. That's why I hope Namping continues to grow confidently, explore different opportunities, and show every side of himself that he wants to show.

At the end of the day, I just want more people to appreciate him the way I've come to appreciate him over this past week.

Anyway, thank you for coming to my TED Talk. Back to rewatching Khemjira for the hundredth time.
