Scan rates?
So I’m starting at a new CVS. At my previous store, I knew extra care scan rates were a thing but we were never told about them, encouraged to keep them up, or really anything of the sort. At this new store, my SM seems extremely strict about scan rates. She claims every single employee has a scan rate of at least 90% or higher, and she expects that from all of us, she even says she texts a group chat every week updating us on scan rates and calling out anyone under the expected amount. 90% seems pretty high, and I’m already having some anxiety about not being able to meet that and being called out in front of my coworkers. From what I’ve read (since no one at my previous stores gave me any info about anything🙄) the company wide scan rates are expected to be at least 70%, and from others posts about it on here it seems like that can be hard to get much higher than that. I guess what I’m asking is, is expecting at least 90% a little ridiculous? I’m not sure what I had at my previous store, but I always did my best to to sell/encourage extra care signups when people didn’t have a card, but the majority of people are very quick to dismiss it and refuse, and I’m not going to annoy someone by trying to force them to sign up if they’ve declined.
