Programs?

Trying to plan for day of paper expenses and am wondering if anyone is doing programs?? I really would like to keep our day of paper use minimal as it (to me) feels like a huge waste to get a bunch of signage we will just throw away the next day. But, programs for the ceremony seem like the standard but honestly I don’t really know what to put in them or if guests will even use them or take them?
