98.3% of financial firms now run on the cloud, and over half say their single biggest security risk is the handful of providers everyone shares. Some items that stuck with me the most: 55% name third-party and supply-chain risk their top cloud concern. That stopped being abstract in October, when an AWS outage in one region froze trading at Coinbase and locked Lloyds and Bank of Scotland customers out of online banking.   
  
**61% name sensitive data leakage their top AI risk, ahead of every exotic model attack. Most of it happens through ordinary use: prompts, chat history, the connectors feeding retrieval.**   
  
**20% had a confirmed AI security incident in the past year. Another 21% couldn't even say if they had or not.**  
  
**The report's own conclusion reads that the top cloud risk and top AI risk are the same risk: Sensitive financial data is moving through more outside platforms, models, and agents than the original controls were built to manage.**
