Canva Template Trouble. Anyone know how to resolve?

I sell party printables using canva templates but when customers purchase, the template link does not always send them to their own individual copy of the template. It sends them to my original design. I’ve been having this problem for a while and I always double and triple check my links from a friends perspective on their account and it works for me. But sometimes when my customers do it, it does not work. I know not to use the share link and to use the “template link” which is only available with Canva pro. I’m just not understanding what I’m doing wrong because one customer bought a listing and it worked just fine, another customer bought the same exact listing… and it didn’t work and they edited my original design. I’ve even tried switching the settings to “anyone with the link” can edit but still no change. Anyone ever have this problem and know how to resolve it? Any help is much appreciated!
