Tried MDMA for the first time, horrible experience

I went out with my friend and we took MDMA. It was my first time, and I think the dose was about 80 mg, but I'm not sure. He reassured me that it would be amazing, that after about 30 minutes I would start feeling it and become more social, euphoric, and talkative. I was a bit tipsy when I took it. I waited 40 minutes, but nothing happened. Then it was 1 hour and I was not feeling anything he described. I kept waiting for about 15 more minutes and I did feel a little more relaxed, but that was it. I wasn't even sure if I was high or not. I eventually decided to go home. When I got into bed, I started feeling more anxious. My heart was beating fast, and I couldn't fall asleep. I was also shivering and felt really cold, then a minute later I would feel hot and start sweating and then begin to shiver again. I looked in the mirror and noticed that my pupils were huge, so I guess the MDMA had kicked in. It was honestly horrible experience.

I was really disappointed because I wanted go experience this amazing feeling. Now I'm not sure I want to try again. One of my friends said that maybe the dose was to small and I should've taken more.
