A Stormy Night
The silver clouds cascaded across the starry night
Veling the moon in its loving embrace
The calm, dark night was disrupted by a flash of white
And as quickly as it appeared, it left without a trace
Fog envelops my home
A gray haze floats outside my window
I lounge in my chair with a tome
The rolling thunder like a deep crescendo
The cold rain taps at my pane
Beckoning to me
As I listen to the whispers of Twain
The wisps of his words like the steam from my tea
But the storm won’t bother my psyche
I’ll just sit and listen happily
