Most SaaS products don’t fail because the product is bad
After spending months building, I’m starting to think most SaaS products don’t fail because the product is bad.
They fail because nobody knows they exist.
You can have great UX, AI features, payments, onboarding, analytics, and still get ignored.
Meanwhile, a mediocre product with strong distribution wins.
As a technical founder, this has been the hardest lesson for me to accept because building feels productive. Marketing feels uncertain.
For founders who’ve crossed the early-user stage:
What channel actually moved the needle first? SEO, Twitter/X, Reddit, cold outreach, partnerships, Product Hunt, paid ads, or something else?
