Is showering right after sex necessary, or is it just a personal preference?

I’m curious what everyone else does after sex. Personally, I just pee and go back to sleep, then shower in the morning as usual. I never had an issue or got an infection or anything, don’t feel dirty afterward, and I have nothing against showering — I just don’t feel the need to do it right away.

Is this normal? What do you all do?
