The last step of the stairs in my home keeps crumbling in my dream

I remember that I was back in my sophomore year of highschool and me and a girl I used to hangout with were looking for pot. I don't remember why but I was really scared, maybe of her, for some reason. I went home from school and when I walked up the stairs to my room, the top step began to creak really loudly like it was unstable. Then, as I kept stepping in and out of my room to walk around the house, the step kept getting more dilapidated until it crumbled completely.

I feel like this has some kind of meaning ESPECIALLY since I'm about to move out of the home I spent my teenage years in.
