Beatdown players

Do low level beatdown players not know about the opposite lane? Or am I just dumb, why they always go all in on one lane even if swapping lanes could work. The whole point is one big push that wins the game why NOT switch lanes if needed, for ex I just went against a golem lightning evo lumberjack and they had a goblin brawler and healer on my stronger tower from a defense but they went golem on my weaker tower allowing me to easy defend for free and win.
