Add ledger board under triple beam

I’m trying to add my stair stringers onto my triple beam made from 2 x 10s. I think I need a ledger board added underneath the triple leaf to give me a little bit more room to securely attach the stringers.

I considered using a galvanized steel angle to connect a ledger board, but that doesn’t seem very secure. Any tips?
