M.Tech Document Verification: College holding TC/Conduct until Graduation Day. Will VIT accept a Study Certificate + Undertaking
Hey everyone,
I’ve been provisionally selected for M.Tech admission at VIT and am organizing my papers for the physical campus reporting phase. However, my current college will absolutely not issue a separate Transfer Certificate (TC) or standalone Conduct Certificate until our official Graduation Day later this year.
My college has instead provided me with a strong set of alternative documents, and I want to know if this will pass VIT's physical screening on day one:
-
Study Certificate (Bonafide): Confirms my identity, enrollment years, B.Tech branch, and explicitly states my character/conduct has been "Good."
-
Course Completion / Provisional Certificate: Formally signed by the Dean confirming all academic degree requirements are fulfilled.
-
Consolidated Marks Memo (CMM): A single master grade sheet showing my performance, credits, and grades across all semesters.
-
8th Sem Online Result Verification: A physical printout of my 8th-semester online gradesheet, formally verified, signed, and stamped by my current college exam cell.
-
CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate: An official letter from my college detailing the calculation formula.
My Questions for VIT Seniors:
a) Will the VIT admissions team accept this Study Certificate + Course Completion Letter as a valid placeholder for my TC/Conduct requirements during physical verification?
b) Given that I have a fully stamped/verified 8th-sem online gradesheet and a CMM, will they readily grant me an Undertaking Form to submit the final printed university TC once my college graduation happens?
c) Has anyone else reported for M.Tech admissions with this exact combination of documents? How smooth was the verification process?
Any insights or past experiences would be a massive help. Thanks in advance!
