Natural landmarks and places
Lately, I've been feeling a lack of unique natural formations, maybe even influenced by playing Hytale or general open world games. Unique landscapes which also push you to explore different parts of the same biome, differentiating places and items you can fin6.
I'm thinking of waterfalls and stream systems flowing into rivers, lakes perhaps with unique features and hidden chests (a bit like in Breath of the Wild). I'm also thinking of places with features and shapes so unique but that can't be added like a proper biome, like volcanoes and oases, or small parts of biomes with unique vegetation and items. Also smaller details that differentiate various parts of biomes, like giant trees, piles of stone, open-air mineral quarries, small canyons, or cave entrances hidden by vegetation.
I'm actually also a datapack programmer and I'm working on a system that allows to generate even large structures in nature based on the terrain. So I'd like to create a datapack that does that, so I'd love to hear more suggestions from the community.
