COOFANDY brand account — full transparency.

We make golf polos and shorts in the $20-40 range, so obviously we have a stake in this. But here's the honest breakdown of what separates quality from junk at this price point — info that applies regardless of where you buy.

**Golf Polo — What to check:**

1. **Fabric blend:** Poly-spandex or polyester-elastane with moisture-wicking. Pure cotton absorbs sweat and clings by hole 9. Poly-spandex pulls moisture away and dries 3-4x faster. The spandex (5-8%) adds swing stretch without the shirt going shapeless.
2. **Fit:** Tailored through chest and shoulders, slightly relaxed through the midsection, long enough to stay tucked. Too tight = restricted backswing. Too loose = fabric bunches under your arms.
3. **Collar:** Must hold shape after washing. A collar that curls or goes limp is the #1 sign of a bad polo.
4. **Construction:** Tagless neck, flat seams (no chafing after 4+ hours), reinforced collar.

**Golf Shorts — What to check:**

1. **4-way stretch.** Your lower body rotates significantly during a swing. No stretch = restricted hip movement.
2. **Deep pockets.** You're carrying tees, a ball marker, phone, rangefinder. Shallow pockets = stuff falls out when you bend over.
3. **7-9" inseam.** Hits just above the knee — classic and acceptable at any clubhouse.
4. **Flat waistband.** Comfortable for 4+ hours, no digging under a tucked polo.

**The value equation:**

The performance fabrics that used to be exclusive to premium brands have trickled down. Poly-spandex blends, moisture-wicking treatments, and tailored athletic cuts are now manufactured at scale. The practical gap between a 100 polo and a 30 polo with comparable specs is smaller than the industry wants you to believe. You're primarily paying for brand prestige and pro shop markup.

**Budget golf wardrobe (\~$200 total):**

* 3-4 polos (white/grey, navy/black, a color, a backup)
* 2-3 shorts (khaki, navy, grey/olive)

Instead of 1 premium polo + 1 premium short for $180, you get a full rotation at the same spend.
