2. Reddit posts. There are a lot of people promoting their free alternatives on reddit.

3. Youtube reviews. I think this is also a good way to find about alternatives.

4. Spicyranks ai. They also review a lot of ai chatbots.

5. Theresanaiforthat. If you have some alt already in mind, this is a great way to understand if it's worth the hassle or not.
