Question about form fitting dress!

I finally found a dress I love! It does need some slight alterations since I ordered it online but I do love it- form fitting but comfortable.. simple but with some interesting detail.

However.. I first tried it on early in the day. This week I tried it on in the evening. And it looked entirely different after a full day of meals. Now I’m a little worried I might feel self conscious in it, but at the same time I don’t imagine I’ll have any huge meals leading up to my evening wedding with what a busy day it will be!

Did anyone else pick a very firm fitting dress and did you regret it or continue to love it? I haven’t taken it for alterations yet so could continue the hunt if needed.. but it was so hard to find this one!
