I saw someone die on the Penn Station subway platform early Saturday morning

On June 13th around 12:30, I was going home after watching the USA soccer game and I walked into the subway and saw a man laying on the ground, having CPR administered onto him. He was white, wearing a blue button down and khaki shorts (I think). He was just laying there, eyes open, unresponsive I guess.

Between the time I got there and when CPR was finished, it was probably 15 minutes. Then, NYPD somehow got his body out of the subway and that was that. I couldn't possibly look while they were moving his body. I was so flabbergasted that I was watching someone possibly take their last breaths - Or that he was already dead and NYPD were doing their best to revive him.

Two things stuck out the most to me - his body when they were doing CPR being the first. His eyes were open, and it looked like he was just staring at the ceiling. Even more disturbing, his stomach was expanding when the police pressed on his chest and going back down, then back up, and back down. It was just so unnatural and something I've been lucky enough to have never seen before. However, while this is happening, I'm looking around the station and 1 woman is clearly emotionally upset and everyone. else. on all sides of the platforms. are filming/watching and (I felt) extorting this man for social media views. It was so dystopian. Nobody was (visibly) praying, nobody was consoling anyone else; everyone was just watching without a tear in their eyes.

Have you ever seen anything happen like this on the subway? I scoured the internet and only saw 1 reddit post updating about train times saying that around that time, NYPD was requested for a medical emergency at 28th st - which I was assuming is this man possibly having a heart attack or something at that station but then receiving care at the next stop - Penn Station.
