my app got better when i stopped trying to save people from every missed day

i kept assuming people needed more recovery logic after they missed a day. reshuffle the plan, repair the streak, soften the loss, all that stuff. felt thoughtful at first

but tbh a lot of people were just using those screens to sit there and negotiate with themselves instead of doing anything. i know that move way too well from notion, todoist, even plain notes lol. sometimes "help" is just prettier avoidance

i ended up stripping most of it back in beedone. now after a miss it pushes you toward one small next quest and leaves the rest kinda messy on purpose. less fixing the system, more just move again. weirdly that worked better than all the smart recovery stuff i was proud of

idk if other builders run into this but sometimes the feature that feels most caring is the one teaching users to stall
