Men's Mental Health - Institutional Neglect

Sadness / Grief

I haven't talked about what five years of this has done to me. Not once. Until now.

A police chase took my career in 2018. A pandemic took my options in 2020. A building has been taking the rest — slowly, one ignored complaint at a time.

I went back to school to rebuild. Held a 97% average through noise, harassment, animal waste on my balcony, and four property managers who promised and disappeared.

Last week I tested at 80. Twice.

I'm not posting this for sympathy. I'm posting it because men are told to push through. To compartmentalize. To handle it.

It always shows up somewhere.

If any part of this sounds like your life right now — you are not alone.
