Claude AI is reading my TradeGuard script live on TradingView - full setup guide (Windows, all errors included)
Most AI trading tools are just chatbots guessing at market conditions.
This actually reads your chart AND your custom scripts.
I set up Claude Code with the TradingView MCP today. It connects directly
to TradingView Desktop and reads whatever is on your screen in real time —
including my TradeGuard script. Squeeze signals, VWAP, regime, order flow,
bias — all of it.
Live example from today on MRVL with TradeGuard running:
> Squeeze firing just below VWAP $281.09
> US bias: Neutral — wait for open
> Regime: 0/6 — no trade
> SWEEP PUT confirmed at $280.39
> TradeGuard: WAIT - HTF choppy
> Bull/bear line: PDH $282.27
It read TradeGuard's HTF choppy signal and blocked the entry automatically
based on my rules. I didn't tell it to do that. It just read the script
and applied the logic.
That's the moment I realised this is actually different.
Windows setup took about 20 min. Real errors I hit:
- Git needs to be installed first (not mentioned anywhere)
- Claude Desktop needs full close/reopen after config, new session doesn't work
- TradingView must be Desktop app not browser
- If you have Microsoft Store version it finds it differently
Everything free except Claude Pro ($20/mo).
