Job options

Hi all. I am working on submitting my application for vet school by July. I am moving in September to a new state and so far all the animal related jobs are not paying enough to have any leftovers after rent. So I'm deciding if I should look for a non animal related job that pays more or just go the animal route in case I don't get in this cycle and have to apply yet again. I do have a few thousand hours of vet experience from an animal hospital job and animal experience, including volunteering. Will it look bad to work somewhere not related to the field?
