3 months of retests with myiq while experimenting with sleep and exercise changes - insights

I've been trying to make good on sleep, exercise, and limiting drinking for six months now. I also wondered about whether it affects cognition at all, hence the addition of regular cognitive testing to my monitoring process. Here's 14 weeks of results. Each Saturday morning after an entire night's sleep, and before drinking coffee. Took 7 tests in total.Starting score: 113. My current one: 122. The peak one was 124 at week 10.Largest increase: in ability to process information in stressful situations, by about 12 points relative to starting level. Verbal and analogical reasoning barely moved, by 3 points maybe.Sleep duration increased from 6.5 to 7.5 hours. Exercise went up from 1-2 times per week to 4-5 times. Drunk alcohol decreased from 10+ drinks per week to 3. Also practiced cognitive skills 20 minutes daily - math and logic riddles. The effect of sleep on my cognition score seems more consistent than any other metric, both in terms of correlation and directionality. Scores would always decrease when I didn't get enough sleep during the week. At least until Week 7 or so.Being aware that the test was scheduled for Saturday morning, I was significantly more conscientious regarding my sleeping pattern. My going to bed at two o'clock in the morning on Friday ceased to be just a wrong thing to do; it turned into something specific for sacrifice. It is quite a handy indicator of what effect my efforts to change my way of life had produced.
