Why do my friendships with Russian Genshin players seem to fade away?
I mainly play on the Asia server, and I've been trying to practice a little Russian and make Russian friends through Genshin. In some cases, Russian players were actually the ones who suggested exchanging Telegram first. However, even then, they would often seem friendly only at the beginning. After a few days, I sometimes got the feeling that they didn't really want to talk to me anymore (although I might just be overthinking it). Eventually, after a few days or weeks, they would ignore my messages and the friendship would naturally fade away.I've also joined the worlds of new Russian players and tried greeting them politely in Russian and starting conversations in Russian. However, I've been removed from their worlds many times, sometimes almost immediately. To be honest, part of me wishes people would just tell me directly if they don't want to talk or be friends, rather than leaving me guessing. So I'm wondering if this is normal, or if I'm misunderstanding something.
- How do Russian players generally feel about interacting with strangers in co-op?
- If someone removes me from their world, does it usually just mean they prefer playing alone, or does it mean I made them uncomfortable?
- If someone gives short replies or slowly stops responding, does that usually mean they're not interested, or is that just a common communication style?
- Is there a better way to become friends naturally?
I'm not trying to criticize Russian people at all. I'm simply curious whether my experiences are common and would really appreciate hearing about other people's experiences and advice. I'm genuinely confused and would appreciate honest opinions.
