Wearing white shalwar kameez

I was just watching a video on how to not make the undershirt (the white tank top or whatever, idk how to name it) visible when wearing a light coloured shalwar kameez, especially white. But in the comments, why tf do I see women saying they like it when it is visible on their husbands? I always thought it looked super bad and like, "pendu" (Loll), but i wanna know if that's really true or not.
