Engineer w People Skills Career Pivot

Hello everyone, I (23M) have an engineering degree and have been working in the aerospace industry as a systems engineer for a little over 1 year. I’m not the best engineer, I pick things up very quickly but naturally I have come to find that the day to day working in a very technical environment doesn’t scratch my brain and I don’t like it a lot.

What my peers, parents, friends and everyone have always told me is I am very easy to work with, my greatest skill is my ability to work with others and I really do love people.

As someone who is trying to make a pivot into a new industry/role, I am open to any recommendations. I have an “in” to a FAANG company where I can probably see if there are openings in roles like tech sales, solutions consultant, technical product manager, solutions engineer, etc.

If anyone has any experience similar to mine with honest advice on how a career pivot like this went, I’d be very glad to hear about what it was like!
