Does anyone else find the "nothing can ever change" comments very boty?
This isn't an exaggeration, it ignores the new precedents the billionaires themselves have done. To use my own country as an example, Epstein class enforcers actually stormed the United States Capitol and very nearly overthrew the government. That attempted coup left police officers dead, and those same terrorists have now all been mass-pardoned. To use another example, the same billionaires who incited that insurrection are now just trying to jail sitting politicians for standing against their president.
While I don't condone those violent methods, the billionaires themselves have offered them as an alternative to legitimate elections. So, are we supposed to believe that they could just steal an election themselves and everything would just work out for them again? That - in a time of historic disapproval - their enemies are just going to roll over and accept that Epstein's clients are now our autocrats? It seems very weird for any person to assume that and just ignore all the new precedents that have been set by the Epstein class themselves.
