TCS BGC - Intermediate marks mismatch in application form | Need advice
Hey everyone,
I recently received an offer letter from TCS (NQT 2026 General Drive) and I'm currently filling out the BGC form on NextStep portal. I noticed a discrepancy in my Intermediate (Class XII) marks and wanted to know if anyone has faced a similar situation.
The issue: In the TCS application form, I had entered only my 2nd Year marks (out of 530), but the official Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education issues a single consolidated memorandum covering both 1st Year and 2nd Year combined (out of 1000). So the marks shown in the BGC form don't match the official certificate total.
The actual percentage works out to above 97% either way, so I'm well above the 60% eligibility criteria.
What I've done so far:
- Emailed ilp.support@tcs.com requesting a correction with the BGC form screenshot and original marksheet attached
- The BGC form doesn't have an editable option for Intermediate marks
My questions:
- Has anyone from Telangana faced this issue with the combined Intermediate memo?
- Did ilp.support@tcs.com respond and how long did it take?
- Should I wait for their reply before submitting the BGC form or go ahead and submit?
- Did this cause any issues during BGC verification?
Any help or similar experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks!
