How should I rotate?

Hello guys, I've played rocket league for 3 years consistently now... i don't know how to rotate, or how to play the game. When I'm in a game, I just drive my car around aimlessly and without much thought to whats going on around the arena. My peak is gc3 despite this... laugh all you guys want.. but I really want to improve on this aspect of my gameplay after all this time. This could be how to play as second man, or how to play first man- even so much as knowing how to position my car before challenging. Any help would be appreciated very much so 🙏 (this is not a troll post I swear)!
