Stan Shaw Collection

My Father, a knife maker for Crecent Knife Works in B.C. Canada has passed away and I have been tasked with hoing through his collection. I ha e little knowledge of knives but google searches have been getting me by. However we got the ones he had in his security box and my mum has informed me that my dad and Stan Shaw were friends towards the end of their lives. My father was gifted one of each of the styles of knife Stan Shaw made as a last project before retiring. I have a small idea of the value, though I do not intend to sell them, but if anybody can tell me more about how to maintain them as collector pieces?
