I recently started getting into smoking after getting my weed card last month. So far it's been great, and I've only tried smoking a very small amount in a bowl, or taking half of a 20 mg gummy. Last night I tried my first pre-rolled joint, took about 4-5 drags, and went from feeling pretty good, to almost having a panic attack. To be fair, it was my fault for thinking that since I read how joints are less effective at getting you high, that I should take multiple hits, when normally I'll take just one hit from a bowl that's only packed halfway.

I was still able to function well enough to cook myself dinner, but the whole time I was experiencing slight visual distortions, and when talking to my girlfriend to try to ground myself I could understand and talk back to her, but my brain was also processing in the background how it's strange that we can comprehend sounds or words into something meaningful. We also sat down to watch TV while I ate, and the whole time I was just thinking how the faces on the screen looked like those uncanny versions of earlier A.I. generated videos. The worst part, and where it peaked my heart rate at around 155+, was of course when I started thinking, "I'm way to high, and I'm about to have a heart attack and die". It did not help that as I was freaking out I would check my Fitbit and slowly see my heart rate going up.

Needless to say while it wasn't my worst cannabis experience, I definitely will be more cautious, and stick to my baby bowls for the time being.

On the plus side, despite being high enough that watching YouTube felt like being in an Ari Aster film, I managed to still get 8 hours of sleep lol
