Should we ban all algorithms?
Honest question! Algorithmic timelines have hit humanity harder than crack hit the black community in the '80s. Everyone is a junkie now. But we allow it. They tamper with our brains, alter how we behave, and everyone knows it. It has no personal value other than for the companys to keep you engaged so that you can be shown more ads.
Personally, I think all this filter bubble shit is just a by-product of the need to keep you in the loop.
Twenty years ago, we had social media without algorithms, and it wasn't that big a part of everyday life.
Now, the timeline seems to drive people insane. Even with non-political content and people.
I'm not against social media. I just think having the algorithm streched all of our assholes beyond repair.
What do you guys think?
