Can you still buy steam Giftcards after they've become discontinued?

i've heard that Steam is discontinuing *physical* giftcards, like tge actual cards, right? So i can still go to a store that has steam giftcards, ask for a steam giftcard code, pay, and they'll give ne the cide on a little piece if paper, right???
