Squirrel with injured eye

i’m not able to get a photo of it he’s pretty skittish, but i wanted to know if there’d be anything i can do to help him, he won’t open it fully and it’s red and almost looks like his eye has a white cast over it (?) i feel bad for him 🥹 he’s definitely getting all my good treats.
