TSLA drops 8% at 6am and my broker is just sitting there like "lol market opens at 9:30 buddy"

Woke up this morning, TSLA already down $17 from some overnight news, i have a position, i want to do something about it. Open my broker app, greyed out. "pre-market hours limited to certain securities" ok which ones, not mine apparently. So i just sat there watching the number go down eating my cereal like an idiot. And yes i know about pre-market trading, yes i have it enabled, it's basically useless spreads are a joke, half my orders don't fill, and anything remotely volatile just gaps past my limit. it's theatre. The whole thing is designed for people who aren't actually trying to trade, you get these crisp 9:30am opens where all the volatility already happened 3 hours ago and you're just picking up the scraps. I get why it exists. i don't have to like it. The only thing that's made this less annoying lately is messing around with ondo perps for some of my positions, at least those don't close at 4pm and ghost me all night. Anyway, rant over, TSLA position is a loss now. i'm going back to bed
