Will I end up wearing readers more than I wear my glasses today?
Hey folks, looking for input on one specific concern ahead of my procedure scheduled later this week. I’m 33 and have a -1.something prescription, have worn glasses almost all my life and hate them but absolutely need them for driving, seeing my kids faces across the room, etc. Contacts make my eyes feel tired so I can’t wear them much.
There are plenty of other pros/cons of course but the one I’m really hung up on is needing readers in the future. I always take off my glasses to look at a computer/phone because I can see fine at those distances without them and hate looking at screens through the lenses. So my concern is, is it likely that ~10 years down the line I need readers just to look at my phone? Or even end up needing to wear them more than I wear my glasses now? I’m worried I’m going to create a bigger problem than the one I’d solve in the short term. Am I overthinking this?
