Pc configuration advice + Airflow setup questions
Hello! I would like to ask if this PC configuration is good for 4K gaming and programming work. I'm also looking to see if there is anything that can be optimized or swapped out for better performance/value around the same price point of these specific parts on amazon.de. (I don't have specific overall budget, just looking for the best value per component).
Configuration:
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
CPU Fan Tower - Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO
GPU - Zotac GeForce RTX 5080 AMP Extreme Infinity
RAM - Adata XPG Lancer Blade DDR5 32GB Kit 6000hz CL30-40-40
SSD NVME M.2 2TB - WD Black SN850X
Motherboard - MSI MPG B850 Edge TI Wi-Fi
PSU - Super Flower Leadex VII PRO 1000W 80 PLUS Platinum
Case - Lian Li Lancool 217 Infinity Black
Two additional intake 120mm fans at the bottom: Scythe Grand Tornado 120 PWM
Airflow / Fan Question:
I am also curious about the cooling setup for this case. I plan to use Scythe Grand Tornado fans as additional dedicated GPU intakes on the bottom shroud of the case next to the PSU (sitting directly under the middle and front part of the GPU).
My questions regarding the remaining slots:
- Would adding an additional exhaust fan at the top-back corner (slightly above the Thermalright dual-tower CPU cooler) significantly improve temps?
- Would adding one more intake fan on the bottom-back (above the PSU) be beneficial, or will it introduce unnecessary noise and airflow restriction?
Thanks for the help!
