I need a new silver scope.

Yeah, may sound tacky, but I want silver to match my stainless barrel.

My primary hunting rifle is a Ruger M77 .270 I’ve had since the early 2000’s. I bought it when I was pretty young and just getting into hunting with pretty much zero knowledge. In my youth and ignorance, I bought a cheap Simmons 3x9x40 on it just to get rolling. While I’ve killed a few deer with it over the years, I really need something better because simply put, it just sucks. The eye relief is awful, and let’s face it, it’s a 20 year old Simmons.

What do yall recommend in the $500ish range? I see some Leupold Vari-X and VX Freedom, some used Nikons, Burris, Vortex Crossfire II, and a few others.

Any recommendations?
