Does anyone else find it easy to talk over the phone but struggle in person?
I find conversations come easy to me over the phone, but then in person I get so awkward. I feel the pressure of eye contact and body language comes into play also, and I start freaking out. When I’m on the phone, the only thing I have to think about is what I’m saying and what they are saying and it’s so much easier. I find it interesting because most people prefer to communicate in person and feel awkward on the phone but it’s opposite for me. It’s like I’m less overwhelmed with having to think about being normal and just focusing on the actual conversation itself. I feel most like me when I communicate with neurotypical people this way.
